100 Things about me the 2007 Edition
I have done this list before, but it was a year or so ago. I thought I would updated it a bit.
- I will be closer to 40 this year than I’m comfortable with (39).
- I was born in Kansas.
- I am the oldest of 3 children.
- I moved to Missouri when I was 6 months old.
- I have lived in 11 different towns in my life.
- This summer I will make that an even dozen.
- I have managed to move to a new address every three years (sometimes more often) all of my life.
- I have 3 kids, 1 son, 2 daughters.
- I am fiercely proud of them all.
- I have two ex husbands. They have the same first name.
- I will never date a man with that first name ever again.
- I filed for divorce both times.
- Both times it was the best thing I could have done.
- I am not sure I loved either one of them, really loved them.
- I am sure I married both of them for the wrong reasons.
- I am not sure I can be friends with either of them, even for the sake of the kids.
- I have lived alone for the past 3 years now (with the exception of my children)
- That fact makes me proud of myself.
- I am currently single in the technical sense of the word, but in my heart, I’m not.
- I am not sure I will ever get married again.
- I have been the victim entirely too often in my life.
- I am tired and done being the victim.
- I admit I allowed myself to be that, and sometimes took pleasure in the attention being the victim got me.
- I have 6 piercings (both ears twice=4, my left upper ear=1 and my belly button=1)
- I don’t have any tattoos.
- I want one, but have never gotten it. That tells me it’s not important enough to me yet.
- I have a college degree that I find is completely useless.
- It looks good on paper. In real life, it’s worthless.
- I feel like I wasted my time in college.
- I was too immature and insecure to get everything out of college I should have.
- I want to go back someday, and get a degree in business finance.
- I have a younger sister who is just about as opposite of me as you can get and still share DNA.
- I don’t always agree with her, and I don’t always like what she says or does, but I trust her implicitly, and ask her opinion often.
- I have a younger brother.
- I found out he is a great sense of support and advice and encouragement and is one of my fiercest defenders.
- I have a brother-in-law and sister-in-law.
- I think both of them are pretty cool people. They have to be to be married to my sister and brother.
- I am a huge NASCAR fan.
- I wasn’t a year ago.
- I went to the Daytona 500 last year and LOVED it.
- My favorite drivers are Kasey Kahne and anyone who can put a Bush brother into the wall and take them out of the race.
- I think Michael Waltrip is brain damaged and shouldn’t be behind the wheel of a car going over 100 miles an hour.
- I love the St. Louis Cardinals.
- I have managed to get tickets to a game the past two years.
- I hope to make it three years this summer.
- I have never been to a professional football game.
- I have never been to a professional hockey game either.
- Every once in a while the red in my neck shows, and I try desperately to hide it.
- In just over four months I will pack up my life, leave behind all I know, and move on, and try to find my place.
- I am both terrified and excited about this.
- I am halfway through with this list.
- I am sure that while my mother supports my decision, and voices that support, she’s worried and scared for me all the same. And hasn’t voiced that.
- I am thankful for both of those things.
- I am a natural red head
- I am blonde by choice.
- I like being blonde much more.
- I look more high maintenance than I really am.
- I have been told more than once I am beautiful.
- Sometimes I actually believe it.
- Most of the time I think I’m just not altogether unfortunate looking.
- I discovered photography fills my creative need.
- I am not as good as I want to be, but I am better than I used to be.
- I love to read, and am always reading something, even if it just the cereal box at breakfast
- I love coffee
- I didn’t a year ago
- I used to drink it only in the morning before 10:00. Now I can drink it in the morning and at night.
- I love chai latte too.
- I am a Starbucks virgin.
- I haven’t been because I don’t speak the language.
- I love white chocolate much more than milk chocolate
- I don’t like dark chocolate at all
- I hate coconut
- My best friend used to be Captain Morgan
- Now it’s Jose (in a margarita)
- I am an internet junkie. I love blogs, email, and IM’s.
- Sometimes I think it’s a good thing I don’t have internet at home right now. I wouldn’t have much of a life if I did.
- I didn’t talk to my father for the first 10 years of my son’s life.
- I have finally forgiven him for not living up to my expectations.
- I have worked for a temporary employment agency for the past year and a half.
- I have just started my final ‘new’ job in this town.
- I am the only grandchild on my mother’s side of the family to graduate from college.
- I do not have the best job nor do I make the most money. (told you that college degree was worthless)
- I am the only one of us three kids to hold a college degree.
- Again, I am the least successful. (worthless degree)
- I believe there is a man out there who is everything I ever wanted, and all I’ve ever dreamed of.
- I am afraid I have already loved him, and blown it, and won’t get the second chance.
- I won’t give up hoping for that second chance.
- I appear braver on the outside than I ever feel on the inside.
- I am afraid someday someone will realize I have bluffed my way through life.
- I want to go to Ireland someday.
- I had hoped to go for my 40th birthday.
- I’m not sure I’m going to make it.
- I would love to see the Smithsonian too.
- I look back at where I’ve been and compare it to where I am and I am damn proud of what I’ve survived.
- I have friends who love me enough to kick my ass when it is needed.
- Lucky for me they remove my head from my ass before they kick it. Avoids more brain damage that way.
- I am stronger, and braver than I thought I was.
- I know now that I can face and handle whatever life throws at me.
- When my world falls apart around me, I don’t fall apart.
- I believe 2007 will be an amazing year for me.
