I love/hate the internet

I love the internet. Love it. It's wonderful. I can connect with all my friends from around the world, I can find tons of useless information, and some of it I can blog about. I can find a picture of just about anything my head can imagine. I can find movie times, I can find song lyrics, I can even find margarine ads from the 80's. How cools is that shit?

Unfortunately I can find that someone has been somewhere I didn't think they ever went. I can find out too much information, that I really didn't want and don't need. I can find that pages thought long forgotten actually aren't as forgotten as I had believed.

It's my own damn fault. I followed a link that I could very well have ignored. I thought it was safe. I should have been safe. I should have ignored it and avoided temptation. My fault. I'm not positive what I saw is what I think it is. And I have learned this lesson before. What you see isn't always what you think it is.

There is a picture there. I'm not sure who it is, and I don't want to know. I know what I think, but I don't know if I'm right. Either way, I don't want to know. I can pretend I didn't see it, but it doesn't mean it's not there. I can ignore it, and trust what I do know beyond all doubt, and let the rest take care of itself.

I hate the internet. I can get too much damn information, and yet, even that isn't enough. It's really only half the story.

Oh man - that's the rock & the hard place right there.

Personally, if this is the special someone's computer, it's probably best if you stay out of it. But if it's yours, it's fair game.
